Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with due process and legal obligations.
  • Assess and evaluate requirements, develop evaluation schemes, and award contracts.
  • Ensure value-for-money and adherence to standards of transparency, probity, propriety, and control.
  • Provide support and expertise to project managers, handling contractual and procurement aspects of projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement of commercial terms, conditions, policies, and service level agreements.
  • Mentor and support other procurement professionals.

Requirements:

  • MCIPS professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.
  • Extensive experience in commercial and public sector procurement, with a strong understanding of business issues.
  • Proven track record in negotiating and managing contracts, with knowledge of contract law.
  • Familiarity with EU procurement legislation/regulations and modern contract forms.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
