Job Title: PSV/HGV Mechanic/Fitter

Location: Kidlington

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year, plus company pension and ongoing training.

Job Description:
We are seeking a full-time PSV/HGV Mechanic to join our expert maintenance team for our high-demand fleet. This role is vital to maintaining our top-tier standards for safety, compliance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance, servicing, and periodic inspections on coaches and vans.
  • Repairs & Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system faults, specifying proper repair methods.
  • Compliance & MOTs: Prepare vehicles for MOTs, adhering to both company and DVSA standards.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Assistance: Attend on-road breakdowns and perform vehicle road testing as needed.

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Level 3 NVQ in PSV or HGV maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Desirable Skills: PSV license and welding experience.
  • Proven understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • Independent worker with initiative, strong problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude.

Work Hours & Benefits:

  • Full-time, 40hours per week (Mon-Fri) with overtime available.
