Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals. You will play an important role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.
  • Support medical staff in administering prescribed treatments and medications (under supervision).
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Help patients with mobility, transferring them from beds to chairs or helping them move within the healthcare facility.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
  • Follow healthcare plans and ensure that individual care needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient care activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, infection control, and confidentiality policies.
  • Participate in training and development activities to maintain and improve healthcare skills.

    Qualifications:

  • previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is desirable.
