We are currently seeking a responsible and reliable Gate Person to join our clients construction site team. As a Gate Person, you will be the first point of contact for anyone entering or leaving the site, ensuring safety, security, and effective management of site access. Start date will be 10th March. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring that only authorised personnel and vehicles are allowed entry.
  • Maintain a log of visitors, deliveries, and vehicles entering or leaving the site.
  • Ensure all personnel entering the site are wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in directing traffic within the site and help with parking management.
  • Report any safety hazards or security concerns to the site manager immediately.
  • Communicate effectively with construction workers, contractors, and delivery drivers.
  • Perform routine inspections of the gate area and surrounding perimeter to maintain security.
  • Support the site supervisor with other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in security, construction, or similar roles is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and maintain records accurately.
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols on a construction site is a plus.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine physical tasks.
  • A valid driver's license may be required for site vehicle access.
  • CSCS card required. 

This role will be approx. 2 years long with working hours being 7.30am - 6pm.
