Job title: Assistant Underwriter
Salary: £27,000
Location: Remote (Scotland)
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes is excited to be partnering with a successful commercial insurance MGA on a unique opportunity. We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Underwriter with a strong passion for the insurance industry to join their dynamic team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide admin support to the commercial insurance underwriters
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers
- Prepare client information.
- Support in developing the region
- Recording key data to develop the region
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 1 year of experience within the insurance marketplace is essential
- Willingness to gain insurance exams
SKILLS
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
EXPERIENCE
- Support will be provided to gain insurance exams, and full training and assistance will be provided to progress to the role of a commercial insurance underwriter
DAY-TO-DAY
- This is a home-based role with full IT setup, providing the opportunity to work efficiently and effectively in a remote environment.
- Assist and support underwriters in their day to day duties, whilst training to become a commercial insurance underwriter.
