We are looking to recruit Electricians for ongoing rolling stock maintenance and overhaul projects in line with standards and regulatory requirements.THE ROLE:
  • Remove and refit electrical components.
  • Carry out modifications to rolling stock in accordance with relevant work instructions and specifications.
  • Carry out inspection, maintenance and testing of rolling stock systems in accordance with vehicle instructions.  
  • Where required, provide support for fault-finding and diagnosis of rolling stock systems.
  • Accurate interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Accurate completion of paperwork and work instruction.
  • Work effectively as part of the production team.
  • Work safely and in accordance with all mandatory requirements.
Hours: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday; 7:30 am – 4:30 pm Friday; some nightshift working may be required (9:30 pm – 7:30 am Monday to Thursday).KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience of component removal and refit of electrical systems.
  • Demonstrate experience of fault finding and diagnosis of electrical systems (ideally in a rolling stock environment).
  • SVQ/NVQ Level 3 Electrical or Dual Skilled Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Minimum NC Electrical (or equivalent)
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Ability to develop & maintain good working relationships.
  • Ability to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to procedures.
  • Understands and cares for tools, equipment and PPE as appropriate.
  • Methodical in approach to problems and have good attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify problems and immediate resolutions whilst under pressure.
