As a Paint Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning and applying masking materials. With your duties including:

  • Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, and old paint
  • Sand surfaces to smooth out imperfections
  • Apply masking tape and protective covers to areas not being painted
  • Demasking all vehicles once the paint work has been completed
  • Detailed filler work with capability to follow correct procedures
  • Assist with paint application when necessary

To be successful in this Paint Prepper role, you will have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

  • Good eye for detail
  • Good level of written and verbal English
  • Proficient in using hand tools for sanding and cleaning
  • The ability to lift heavy objects - when required
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with power tools for surface preparation
