Connect Appointments is seeking a Fitter for a permanent position in Kilmarnock with a salary of £41,730 per annum.
The role requires candidates to have experience in the overhaul, maintenance, and repair of rail vehicles and rolling stock.
Responsibilities include stripping and building safety-critical components according to technical drawings, as well as fault finding on mechanical components.
The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm and Friday from 7:30am to 1:30pm.

Connect Appointments have a brand-new opportunity for a Fitter to join our established client in Kilmarnock on a permanent basis!

Salary: 41,730 per annum

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am to 1:30pm

As a Fitter, you will be responsible for:

Overhaul, maintenance, examination and repair of rail vehicles and rolling stock
Stripping and building safety critical components in accordance with technical drawings
Fault finding and repair on mechanical components - e.g. bogies, brake actuators, axles etc.
Door gear removal, overhaul, refit and test
Working as part of a team, completing the necessary paperwork and work instructions
