Job Summary
As a Parks and Gardens Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing public green spaces, ensuring they are safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Your role will involve various landscaping duties, including trimming hedges, cutting grass, and general maintenance tasks. You will work as part of a team to uphold high standards of horticultural care and groundskeeping across multiple locations.
Responsibilities

Carry out grass cutting, hedge trimming, and general landscaping duties.

Maintain parks, gardens, and public spaces to a high standard.

Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, strimmers, and hedge trimmers.

Assist with planting, pruning, and general upkeep of green spaces.

Ensure all areas are kept clean and free from litter and debris.

Follow all health and safety procedures while operating machinery and carrying out duties.

Perform minor repairs and maintenance of equipment as required.

Work as part of a team to complete scheduled tasks efficiently.

Assist in any additional duties required for the upkeep of outdoor spaces.
Skills & Requirements

Full C1 + E driving license (required).

Experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or horticulture is desirable.

Ability to use and maintain landscaping equipment safely.

Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual labour.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to outdoor maintenance.
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm (through Active Personnel Recruitment Ltd)
Pay: 12.14 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts
