About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team on a temporary basis to cover sickness for an initial period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing our credit control processes and ensuring timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
  • Setting up the terms of credit for new clients
  • Negotiating payment plans
  • Managing the collection of all payments and debts
  • Responding to client inquiries
  • Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant
  • Managing the sales ledger
  • Liaising with customers and the sales team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar finance position
  • Strong understanding of credit control processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive 'get up and go' attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
