Part Qualified Management Accountant

Reed Accountancy Norwich are seeking a dedicated Part Qualified Management Accountant to join our client based in King’s Lynn. This role involves a wide range of financial duties, including maintaining accurate sales and purchase ledgers, credit control, bank reconciliations, and preparation of management accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent organisational skills, and proficiency in Sage X3.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date Sales and Purchase Ledgers.
  • Conduct credit checks and maintain credit limits with the guidance of a credit agency.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations in both sterling and foreign currencies.
  • Manage VAT returns, including monthly and quarterly records.
  • Update and maintain the Nominal Ledger and Fixed Asset register.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual Management Accounts, including monthly sales statistics and profit & loss reports.
  • Maintain a Cash Flow forecast and produce accounts for completed projects.
  • Document and verify any changes in supplier bank details.
  • Support accountants with audit information requests and liaise with directors to ensure finance reports are timely and accurate.
  • Non-finance duties include covering reception/post and payroll in the absence of HR and Payroll staff.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the preparation of accounts and financial management.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Sage accounting software, ideally Sage X3.
  • Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Good telephone manner and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and work within given timeframes.
