We are recruiting on behalf of a family-run dried fruit and nut packing company based in Kings Lynn, due their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a Finance Assistant.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. This position is ideal for someone who is looking to develop their skills in finance and contribute to the overall efficiency of our financial processes.

On-going contract potentially leading to permanent for the right candidate.

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week.

Schedule:

Duties

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure timely processing of invoices.

Support the reconciliation of bank statements and assist with month-end closing activities.

Process payroll and manage employee expense claims.

Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary financial information.

Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

Perform data entry tasks and maintain organised financial files.

Help in the implementation of new financial systems or software as required.

Requirements

A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous.

Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in Sage, Microsoft Excel and other accounting software packages.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
