Spider are advertising on behalf of an agricultural company who are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team in Harpley, Kings Lynn, Norfolk on a full-time permanent basis!

About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for designing new products and modifying existing machinery within their comprehensive range. You will utilise your engineering expertise to create detailed technical files, 3D models, and engineering drawings that meet British standards. Your designs will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of cutting-edge agricultural equipment!
Main Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Design innovative products and enhance existing machinery within our specialised range.
- Develop comprehensive technical files, ensuring compliance with risk assessment and health & safety requirements for UKCA/CE marking.
- Create full 3D models, photorealistic images, and engineering drawings that adhere to British standards.
- Produce precise weld assembly drawings, including weld symbols and exploded view
general assembly drawings.
- Create and edit graphical logic within a leading process control system (training available)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of engineering principles into product development.
About You:
You will possess proficiency in fluid power and electrical systems, with the ability to perform engineering and power transmission calculations. You should have familiarity with bill of materials and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, along with competent experience using SolidWorks for 3D modelling. A relevant degree in engineering or equivalent qualifications, paired with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience (preferred), is essential. Additionally, you must have the capability to work autonomously and effectively lead a small team.
