Laboratory Technician - Kings Lynn - 26,000/27,000

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician for our client who lead their market based in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

Laboratory Technician

Our client currently has an exciting opportunity to join the their team as a Laboratory Technician. The purpose of the role will be carry out Laboratory testing and QC based testing along with some project work and other laboratory based functions that may be required.

Core responsibilities:

  • Chemical Analyses and reporting of results
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Quality control of products
  • Evaluation of raw materials
  • Documenting test results
  • Labelling and storage of samples
  • Developing new formulations
  • Working in accordance with good laboratory practice and guidelines

The Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in chemical sciences is preferred but not essential. The right experience will be considered.
  • General analytical chemistry knowledge is essential, producing reliable test results
  • Strong level analytical skills
  • Demonstrable capability of working with complex mixtures
  • Experience in ICP is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided
  • Successful development and completion of self-directed projects
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective communication of laboratory results
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Be a good team worker demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the organisation and other team members
  • Self-motivated, energetic, dependable with a clear attention to detail
  • Be flexible with working hours when required in order to deliver the service required by our customers.

Full-time, Permanent position.
