We are looking for an experienced and passionate chef to join a fantastic, luxury wellness retreat in beautiful North Norfolk. The retreat offers a unique blend of luxury, sustainability and holistic well-being. The kitchen is dedicated to providing fresh, locally sourced, and seasonal cuisine that complements the retreats ethos of natural living and wellness.

The chef will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards and creating exceptional dishes for guests. This position will suit someone with a creative flair, a love for fresh ingredients and a commitment to excellence.

Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist and work alongside the retreats current Chef in the preparation and presentation of all dishes.
  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food quality and hygiene.
  • Collaborate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
  • Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-quality kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • A passion for sustainable and holistic culinary practices is a plus.
