Youth Worker - Challenging BehavioursLocation: FakenhamJob Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Worker with a specialisation in working with young people exhibiting challenging behaviours. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the root causes of such behaviours and a proven track record in implementing effective interventions and strategies to support these individuals.

Day to day of the role:•    Develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans for young people, in partnership with their families and other professionals.•    Provide one-on-one support and guidance using positive behaviour management strategies and evidence-based interventions.•    Collaborate with families, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to support.•    Facilitate group sessions and workshops aimed at developing social and emotional skills and behaviour management.•    Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure timely completion of necessary documentation.•    Advocate for the rights and needs of young people, supporting their active community participation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:•    A degree or diploma in social work, psychology, counselling, youth work, education, or a related field.•    Experience working with young people with challenging behaviours and an understanding of the underlying causes.•    Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.•    A collaborative team player with the ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.•    A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new skills and approaches.•    Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
