Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with an organisation based on the outskirts of Kings Lynn who are looking for a Part-Qualified Accountant to take the lead in managing their finances and payroll, which is currently outsourced to a firm of chartered accountants. This will involve working with the Managing Director to bring the accounting processes in-house.Your new roleAs the Finance Manager / Company Accountant, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day accounts for the business, which will involve implementing new accounting software systems, and procedures ranging from ledger transactions, cashflow management & forecasting, as well as the production of the monthly management accounts for their network of branches with detailed analysis of income vs expenditure. Once the accounting processes and reporting have been successfully implemented, the next phase of the re-structure will involve bringing the payroll back in-house, which is also currently outsourced to a 3rd party payroll provider.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and ambitious part-qualified or qualified accountant to take the lead role in the next phase of this organisation's growth plans as they take more ownership and control of their finances. What you'll need to succeedYou will be at least a part-qualified accountant who has proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong focus on payroll, as well as be able to set up and produce the monthly management accounts for an expanding business where you will work closely with all areas of the business.The two key areas of the business focus will be managing the payroll and producing the monthly management accounts, so we are looking for a commercially aware Accountant / Finance Manager who is seeking a role where they can be instrumental in the next phase of the organisation's strategic business plan as well as being solely responsible for the day-to-day accounts. We are also keen to talk to accountants from practice, who produce accounts on behalf of the firm's clients but are looking to take full end-to-end ownership of an organisation's finances.What you'll get in returnThe organisation offers a flexible benefits package, which will include hybrid working and a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
