Finance Manager - Kings Lynn - 50/60k

ALH Recruitment are looking to recruit a Finance Manager / Purchase Ledger Manager with immediate effect for our client who continue to dominate their market nationally.

Our client are part of the leaders in their industry who are a 330 million turnover company, experiencing rapid growth in the coming years, so progression is certainly available.  

You will have at least 3 years management experience within Accounts, with a strong background in Credit Control and Purchase Ledger. 

You will also be at least part qualified as you will be heavily involved in the technical aspects of the role, working very closely with the Group FD. 

Duties: Finance Manager

 To be responsible for the day to day management of the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control  team, ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner via weekly BACS payments.

  • Ensure that accounts payable queries are dealt with promptly, efficiently and escalated where appropriate.
  • To produce and report where necessary essential and accurate information to the business on all purchases and expenses to enable senior management and key stakeholders to enable effective and meaningful decisions to be made. This would mean ensuring that all purchase ledger entries are coded and posted accurately.
  • To manage the process and payment of all international agent’s commission, liaising with the Group companies.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day treasury activities ensuring that the relevant actions are taken, postings made and reconciling items at month end are minimal.
  • To manage and develop a team of 20 people on their day-to-day responsibilities and to oversee the services provided to finance by the outsource provider.
  • To ensure that any other work required to ensure the good financial management, or to safeguard its financial position, is undertaken.
  • To perform other tasks as required by the FD. 

Skills / Experience: 

Minimum of 3 years experience leadership within Accounts

Purchase Ledger / Credit Control experience  

Flexible approach to work and a great team player / leader
