Reed Accountancy Norwich are seeking a Finance and Commercial Manager to oversee our clients Finance/Administration, Information Technology, and Commercial/Legal departments based in their King's Lynn site as a temp to perm. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and legal compliance of the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial duties, IT management, and commercial negotiations.
Day-to-day of the role:- Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory company accounts for submission to auditors.
- Develop and control annual budgets and cost models.
- Oversee cash flow, payroll, PAYE, and pension schemes.
- Manage bi-annual royalty reports and company secretarial functions including board minutes and tax returns.
- Negotiate insurance policies and ensure legislative compliance.
- Oversee the Administration Departments, handling sales ledger, purchase ledger, orders, and credit control.
- Engage in costings/sales decisions and communicate with banks.
- Take overall responsibility for all financial/business hardware and software.
- Manage outsourced IT service providers.
- Lead key projects to review, upgrade, or replace financial/business systems.
- Conduct supplier price negotiations and ensure compliance with company legal requirements, including VAT.
- Adhere to Health and Safety legislation and company policies.
- Manage fire and burglar alarms in association with the Warehouse Manager.
- Lead on process improvements and oversee perpetual inventory and stock control.
- Proven experience in financial management and commercial negotiations.
- Strong understanding of IT systems relevant to financial and business operations.
- Ability to manage multiple departments and ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
