Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a FLT Operative for our client specialising in recycling Waste streams for individual clients.


FLT driver requires an RTITB certificate.


This is a temporary to permanent position.

The main purpose of the FLT Operative is to assist site operations to ensure all waste streams are correctly identified and segregated into the correct receptacles for bailing / disposal. Complete all aspects of health & safety reporting as and when required.
Recycling of site materials- i.e. materials i.e. segregating metals, DMR (Dry Mixed Recycling) and haz waste bins.

The Job Summary:

FLT operative to ensure waste streams are collected (where applicable) and segregated correctly.
Working with all site staff assisting with the smooth operation of client site
Provide client with innovations and waste segregation best practice.
Provide Health and safety support whilst on site, ensuring site adhere to H&S, EA and other regulatory body's policy and procedures.


Responsibilities:


Day to day site operations and waste requirements
Ensure all waste streams are segregated and stored correctly after process in accordance with site and health & safety policies and procedures.
Following advice and instructions given by Operations Manager
Ensure you are a role model - conduct and behavior
Undertake any training provided to assist you in your role.
Support site staff and provide guidance where needed.
All (RA's) risk assessments and (SSOW) safe systems of work are to be always followed.
Encourage a positive work environment and culture.
Be flexible in working hours to meet the needs of the business.

To be successful you will need:


FLT / Counterbalance License is essential. FLT driver requires an RTITB certificate.
Able to work alone, use initiative and make decisions.
To be aware that the working areas are often out in all-weather terrain (full PPE issued), often sorting and processing waste revenue streams outdoors.
