We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEMH Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Day-to-day of the role:- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support student learning and growth.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student progress and address their holistic needs.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
- Support students in developing social and emotional skills, helping them to build resilience and positive relationships.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
- Proven experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions to support student learning and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
