Hays is proud to partner exclusively with a thriving Multi-Academy Trust in West Norfolk in their search for a People Advisor. This Trust believes that schools should be at the heart of the communities they serve, aiming to make a real and lasting difference - "transforming lives, transforming communities." As a People Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR services across the Trust.Your new roleAs a People Advisor, you will be part of a team of three, supporting the Senior People Partner in delivering a full range of HR services. Your focus will be on HR administration, system management, and optimisation, ensuring compliance with People policies and procedures. You will also support payroll processes, training and development, and recruitment activities, providing excellent HR services to both leaders and employees. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance HR Management Systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain HR records, manage the Single Central Record, and support performance and pay reviews.
  • Act as the primary contact for payroll queries, manage payroll changes, and collaborate with the Finance Team.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, coordinate interviews, and ensure compliance with Safer Recruitment standards.
  • Provide professional guidance on employment matters, support line managers, and participate in HR projects and initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualifications:At least 5 GCSE passes (including English and Maths) and ideally studying towards or qualified at Level 3 or Level 5 CIPD
  • Experience:Proven experience in providing HR advice, managing HR systems, and handling payroll administration.
  • Skills:Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
