Due to continued growth and expansion. Our client is looking to expand their Supply Chain division with a strong emphasis on stock control. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to put their stamp on things and really help shape stock control practices. You will play a crucial role dealing with goods in, stock ordering, cycle counts and also working closely with the purchasing department.

The ideal candidate will already have stock control or supply chain experience within manufacturing or logistics.

What's involved for the Stock Controller…

Stock Control Duties

  • Goods in receipt and inspection
  • Booking in stock (Sage system)
  • Stock ordering
  • Stock location control
  • Cycle counts / stock counts
  • MRP accuracy reporting
  • Stock rotation
  • Product returns
  • Redundant stock control

Purchasing Duties

  • Provision of staff cover for all purchasing duties
  • Site Supervisor purchasing support
  • Sub - contractor purchase order submissions

What you'll need…

  • Stock control or supply chain planning / coordinator experience
  • Ability to prioritise workloads
  • Good computer literacy and numeracy skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication across all levels
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Purchasing experience advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 advantageous but not essential
