In a nutshell…Our client is a leader in manufacturing bespoke commercial equipment and solutions to businesses across the UK and overseas. They are the leaders in product innovation, and design concepts through to completion all on one site.
Working within an established team you will play a pivotal role in providing the accurate and timely creation of production supply instructions. You will create and maintain capacity plans, material supply orders and manufacturing instructions. You will also play a key role in supporting the operations manager with customer queries, assisting production supervisors with supply and demand orders, schedules and changes.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment in a planner / demand / coordinator role.
What's involved for the Production Planner…
- Monitor orders across production lines
- Ensure capacity plans are processed accurately
- Make sure production lines have manufacturing instructions
- Monitor factory demand and create trend data analysis
- Schedule works orders and create purchase orders
- Maintain and monitor inventory levels
- Communicate any delays with supplier orders
- Assist line leaders with scheduling orders
- Suggest improvements to processes
What you'll need…
- Experience within a Planner / Coordinator role within a manufacturing capacity
- MS Excel skills
- Clear communicator
- Excellent forecasting skills
- Able to use own initiative and be proactive
