Your new companyWe are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer for a national manufacturing business based near Kings Lynn, this is a shift-based role working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern including days and nights.Your new roleOn joining the busy Engineering team, you will assist with all aspects of plant maintenance and repair to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the site production facility in order to minimise downtime and deliver business objectives. You will be able to proactively carry out all aspects of plant maintenance to a planned schedule, seeking solutions to breakdowns or interruptions to production and dealing promptly with any issues, escalating where necessary. You will use initiatives to drive continuous improvement, reviewing current methodology and opportunities to improve the production efficiency, safety, quality and performance.What you'll need to succeedYou will have relevant qualifications or have completed an apprenticeship in both mechanical and electrical engineering, you will ideally have experience gained within a manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of working with strict safety and quality control procedures and KPI's. A good knowledge of Star Delta and PLC would be of benefit. In addition to this, you should have an understanding of safe isolation process. You should also be able to demonstrate good experience of implementing both short-term and long-term solutions and projects in an engineering function covering both electrical and mechanical equipment.What you'll get in returnWith a starting salary of £50000 and enhanced overtime rates in addition you will receive Company Pension and Life Assurance, Annual Discretionary Bonus Scheme, Employee Savings & Discount Scheme which grants you discounts to high street stores, gym memberships and travel.
