Sonic Summary

  • This role is a business lead position within the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) focused on operational HR and strategic influence at a global manufacturing site in Kings Lynn.
  • Candidates should have a background in manufacturing or FMCG with a minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
  • The position involves managing the site people plan, including organizational design, employee relations, and engagement initiatives.

  • Flexible working requests will be considered, supporting a culture of continuous learning and community connection.

Your new rolePart of SLT, this is a stretching business lead role with a good mix of operational day-to-day HR and strategic influence as you shape and deliver the site people plan. You'll be joining an innovative, global manufacturer that produces some iconic brands. This is a fast-paced, growing site based in Kings Lynn with circa 580 permanent/temporary colleagues. I hear of many roles focussed on downsizing, but this is refreshingly more about setting them up for continued growth. Day-to-day you'll be responsible for the site people plan and enjoy a generalist HR role including organisational design, organisational development, employee relations and employee engagement.

The Director wants to move things on, to get better, and to connect with the local community more. They want to promote a continuous learning culture, and very much see this as an opportunity to make a difference with 'value add' people initiatives.Supported by an HR team of two, there is also a central recruitment team. With your drive to position your site as an employer of choice, employee engagement will sit front and centre as you lead on their DE&I agenda and build early career plans.

A manufacturing/FMCG background would be ideal but very open to similar sector backgrounds. What you'll get in returnThis is an on-site role in Kings Lynn, but flexible working requests will be considered. The package includes competitive holiday entitlement, contributory pension and life assurance.
