Randstad is currently seeking Supply Teachers to support thriving local primary schools. As a supply teacher, you can choose the days you work each week using our booking system, Sirenum. This user-friendly system allows you to update your availability (when YOU decide) and has proven HIGHLY beneficial for those with prior childcare arrangements in place, those generally looking to work part time and those who are set to retire, but still want general income.

For the vast majority of school bookings, planning and resources will already be prepared. On this note, you will still be expected to bring the lessons of the day alive and keep our future generation highly informed/engaged.

The role will include:

  • responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons (you can have your evenings back!)
  • Using your own subject knowledge and teaching skills to bring set work to life
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the absent teacher

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
  • A degree qualification in teaching (PGCE) along with a QTS
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum
  • Relevant teaching experience (Must be able to provide 2 teaching references)
  • You must have eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available with this post)
  • Tailoring your approach to the individual needs of children where necessary.
