Your new companyDue to continued growth and increased customer demand, our client, a world-class manufacturer, are looking to appoint an experienced shift manager for the facility based in Norfolk.Your new roleYou will lead a team of experienced production operators, team leaders and supervisors across a busy manufacturing unit. You will ensure all production targets are met and look to improve efficiencies and yields whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality. You will support the co-ordination of workflow between departments, monitoring and improving processes as required. As people are at the core of any successful business, you will support, coach and develop your teams, identifying training requirements through regular review meetings. Health & safety is paramount, and you will ensure all staff adhere to company policies supporting again through ongoing training. You will thrive under pressure in this fast-paced environment and be able to anticipate and identify challenges at short notice, which include making decisions with the required amount of urgency. You will uphold the companies' hygiene requirements, and support company and external customer audits.What you'll need to succeedAs an experienced shift manager, you will have a good understanding of yields, labour costs, waste and non-conformances, work well under pressure and have a good understanding of fresh food manufacturing environments. With recognised industry related qualifications including HACCP, Food Safety, Train the Trainer, First aid and ILM level 3 as a minimum. This role is based on days on a rotating shift pattern with flexibility required for busy periods.
