Dyer & Butler are currently looking to recruit aProject Managerto join our Central Regionto initially work on a current project in the Norfolk area.

The Central Region team manage a portfolio of Civil engineering projects with clients ranging from Network Rail, TfL, Train Operating Companies, National Grid, and national house builders.

A vacancy has appeared within the team with an immediate need to support an existing project in the Norfolk area. This role will primarily work on that project for the next 12 months with the majority of that time being site based to support the site team.

Job Requirements:
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the construction phase of works.
  • Day to day contract management between client as well as all supply chain.
  • Lead and coordinate supply chain to programme requirements.
  • Direct management of site based staff.
  • Responsible for reporting on project status to all levels of the organisation and client team.
  • Accountable for the production and updating of the project programme alongside the project planner.
  • Undertake the role of Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Flexible hybrid arrangement with a requirement to work on site and office based to support the required workload.

Skills and Experience:
  • Relevant experience in the successful management of large scale (>10m) Civil Engineering projects.
  • NEC3 contract management experience, including successfully managing change.
  • Experience in producing method statements and risk assessments.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge of / experience in the UK rail industry (desirable).
  • Experience working for a Principal Contractor organisation (Tier 1 desirable).
  • Experience working as a Civils CRE and Temporary Works Coordinator (desirable).
