Are you passionate about supporting young people who face challenges in their educational journey? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work predominantly one-to-one with students experiencing social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is an impactful, rewarding role that offers the chance to make a real difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to students with social, emotional, and mental health needs, building trust and ensuring they feel supported.
  • Assist in developing and implementing personalized learning plans under the guidance of teaching staff and SEN coordinators.
  • Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment for students who have struggled with traditional education settings.
  • Offer encouragement and behavioural support, reinforcing positive behaviour and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals to provide holistic support to each student.

Requirements:

  • Previous in-school experience with any age group, ideally working with students who have SEN or behavioural needs.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within a supportive team.
  • Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact in students' lives.
