Job Opportunity: Hybrid - Locum Pharmacist - GP Surgery (Kent)
We are currently seeking a Locum Pharmacist to join a well-established GP surgery in Kent for an exciting opportunity!
No prior GP Surgery experience is required for this post, you do NOT need to be a qualified Independent Prescriber! Training can be given here….
Role Details:
- Duration: 9-12 months (starting ASAP, December 2024)
- Work Schedule: 2-3 days per week (weekdays) There is the option for 1 day remote and the remaining 1-2 days onsite. You can also choose your own days to work!
- Pay rate: £25 - £35 per hour, depending on experience
- Responsibilities:
- Conducting medication reviews for patients, both in-person and remotely
- Reviewing patient medication records to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed drugs
- Identifying potential drug interactions, side effects, or any issues with the patient’s medication regimen
- Communicating with patients to assess their understanding and adherence to prescribed medications
- Making recommendations to optimize drug therapy, including the deprescribing of unnecessary medications where appropriate
- Collaborating with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes
- Documenting all reviews and outcomes in the patient records
- Providing advice and education to patients on proper medication usage and self-management of chronic conditions
Additional Role Information:
- No prior GP surgery experience required – full training and support will be provided
