A digital accountancy practice with a passion for tech based in the Kings Langley area of Hertfordshire are recruitng for an experienced and Qualified Senior Accountant to join their vibrant and dynamic team on a full time permanent basis.

Senior Accountant Job Overview

Joining as a Senior accountant you will be supporting the delivery of accountancy, tax and business support services to a portfolio of SME clients, operating across various industries.

This role will involve:

  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members
  • Preparation of management accounts, VAT returns and CIS returns
  • Initial year-end review for the annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
  • Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns
  • Overseeing client deadlines and helping the team to prioritise their workload
  • Responding to technical accounting and finance related queries from the team and clients
  • Providing a friendly point of contact to clients ensuring timely responses
  • Continued professional development with a commitment to learning new skills and advancing your technical knowledge
Senior Accountant Job Requirements
  • Takes a commercial approach, keeping client's best interests at the forefront

  • Possesses excellent attention to detail
  • Enjoys and sees the benefit in developing others
  • Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Able to remain calm under pressure
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA with senior level accountancy and tax experience
  • Experience working within general practice is essential
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is advantageous
