Due to growth, Guardior now have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager looking for their next step in their career to join their team.

ROLE SPECIFICATION:

The Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's commercial strategy and will involve overseeing tendering, estimating, contractual commercial matters, applications for payment, and ensuring that Guardior meets its commercial obligations to clients and stakeholders. The Commercial Manager will collaborate closely with the business leadership team to ensure all commercial deadlines are met and will report monthly to the Guardior Board.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with Guardior's business objectives.
  • Lead the tendering and estimating processes to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
  • Oversee contractual commercial matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Financial/ Commercial Management:

  • Manage applications for payment, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance related to commercial activities.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance profitability.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Ensure that Guardior's commercial obligations are met, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the business leadership team to align commercial activities with overall business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly reports to the Guardior Board, highlighting key commercial activities, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Provide insights into market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Proven experience in a commercial role within the security, construction or avaiation sector.
  • Strong understanding of tendering, estimating, and contractual commercial matters.
  • Excellent financial acumen with experience in managing applications for payment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful commercial strategies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
