We are pleased to be recruiting for a leading distributor based in Kings Langley who are looking for an Sales Order Processor to join their warm and welcoming team on a full time, permanent basis.

In this role you will find yourself doing anything from liasing with large suppliers to processing sales/purchase orders and managing the stock pipline. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic with the ability to fully understand stock and sales patterns.

This is a Monday to Friday position, working hours are from 9am to 5pm. The salary for this role is paying up to £30,000 depending on candidate experience. The position offers the excellent opportunity of hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 from home. The company also offer a number of other fantastic benefits including free parking on-site, 25 days annual leave, an excellent pension scheme and much more!

Duties to include:

  • Processing customer orders.
  • Schedule and arrange shipments with logistics providers and carriers.
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery times.
  • Track shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, lost shipments, or damaged goods.
  • Liaise with sales managers, agents, and warehouses worldwide.
  • Work with carriers and logistics providers to resolve claims and discrepancies.
  • Manage stock levels, identifying, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Build strong relationships with current and new providers.
  • Oversee and record the inbound/outbound movement of stock from suppliers.
  • Check goods in against delivery notes for accuracy and damages.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure that there is sufficient supply to meet customer demand.
  • Maintain stock levels and systems, ensuring accurate delivery processes, returns, transfers and damaged goods are being managed to company guidelines.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous expeirence managing purchase/sales orders.
  • Computer literate and competent to use Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and databases.
  • An ability to multitask while still achieving accurate results to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Customer focussed, and always able to provide superb service.
