My client is seeking a highly skilled Recruiter to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for sourcing, attracting, and placing qualified candidates in open positions within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in recruitment or human resources, with a deep understanding of screening and hiring processes, and a passion for discovering untapped talent to drive company growth.
Day-to-day of the role:- Candidate Sourcing: Actively research job seekers, maintain a presence on job boards, social networks, and utilise recruiting tools/platforms to find quality candidates.
- Advertisement Creation: Develop and post advertisements to attract potential candidates.
- Candidate Screening: Conduct preliminary screenings, assessing candidates’ skills, experience, and knowledge to determine suitability for further interviews.
- Interview Coordination: Arrange interviews with Line Managers and other relevant stakeholders.
- Candidate Placement: Match candidates to suitable jobs, manage hiring paperwork, and oversee background and reference checks.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure applicants have a positive experience with the company, even if they are not offered the job.
- Recruitment Process Management: Oversee the recruitment process to ensure it is cost-effective and meets company objectives.
- Job Description Development: Collaborate with hiring/line managers to develop and update job descriptions and offer specifications.
- Assessment Design: Create an effective assessment process to select the best candidates.
- Headhunting: Proactively find candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
- Degree level (or equivalent) in human resources or related field.
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, HR systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Familiarity with recruiting within the Construction Industry is essential.
