City Calling - part of the Munnelly Group is a leading recruitment agency based, connecting talented professionals and organisations within the construction industry covering labour hire, freelance, temporary and permanent recruitment from on-site operatives, through to white collar, to board level executives.

An opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager in Trades & Labour has now arisen to join this exciting & dynamic team spearheading the growth of City Calling.

ROLE SPECIFICATION:

As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for delivering business growth for City Calling in their trades & labour department focusing on driving business development, building relationships with tier 1 clients and leveraging PSL partnerships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on bringing in new business, creating new leads and generating and signing new clients.
  • Identify and establish a pipeline of opportunities which will deliver incremental revenue increases into the business in line with the strategic growth plan.
  • Targeted business development & sales planning
  • Making outbound calls to potential clients and building long-term relationships
  • Attending meetings with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Attending regular meetings with new and existing clients building strong relationships
  • To attend networking events to drive new business opportunities and solidify existing relationships.
  • Regular site visits to check on workforce & liaise with the client
  • Working to targets and KPIs, and reporting on your performance and progress.
  • Motivating & mentoring the team, with a view to managing a larger team as we grow.
  • Creation of regular social media content & networking, staying ahead of market trends.
  • Working collaboratively with other companies within the group, and cross selling group services & products.
  • Attending & contributing to Group BD Meetings & Team meetings
  • Preparing & presenting Sales Reports

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Experienced & proven track record in recruitment business development and client management.
  • Candidate & client networks in Construction, Rail, Energy or Infrastructure
  • Strong negotiation skills, with demonstrated experience of success.
  • Experience in lead generation.
  • Previous account management responsibilities
  • Strong commercial business acumen
  • Effective at planning and organising work.
  • Demonstrate strong logical and critical thinking.
  • History of achieving / overachieving KPIs & targets
  • The ability to overcome objections and be persistent - resilient & proactive
