Python Developer / Engineer (SQL Data Science) Remote UK to £50k

Are you a data centric Software Engineer with strong Python coding skills?

You could be progressing your career, working on cutting edge Renewable Energy technology.

As a Python Developer you'll collaborate with a small team with a focus on onboarding new sites on the core product, which continuously retrieves data from wind and solar farms around the world, generates financial reports, key performance indicators and incident analysis. You'll write custom queries and calculations for the clients' desired data insights as well as supporting existing sites with monitoring, reporting and custom calculations, collaborating with Data Scientists.

There are plenty of training and self development opportunities as well as career progression into more senior development, leadership roles or other areas of the business.

Location / WFH:

There's a remote first policy although ideally, you'll be able to meet up with the team in the Hertfordshire office occasionally (not mandatory, expenses paid), you'll be working with a diverse, friendly team on complex and interesting systems.

About you:

  • You have strong Python coding skills, including Pandas
  • You have worked with data centric systems, have good SQL skills and an interest in Data Science
  • You have a good understanding of public cloud platforms; they use Azure so experience with that'd be great but AWS or GCP also fine
  • You're collaborative with great communication skills and Agile team experience
