Our client is a three partner firm of Chartered Accountants based in Kingston , a very well established and highly regarded firm which prides itself on its friendly & professional working environment.

This extremely welcoming firm is seeking a candidate with c 2 years or more experience working in a professional accountancy practice and likely to be part qualified accountant (either Chartered or Certified Chartered), qualified by experience or AAT qualified. The successful candidate will be working on audits, company accounts and corporate and personal tax (with a split between these three of roughly 20%, 60%, 20%) The varied audit work will mean working with companies with turnover of £25m down to fairly small clubs and charities which require audits. It is a a semi-senior level role and previous exposure with audit will be required. On site audit work will require some travel from Kingston to various locations in London and the South East of England and very occasionally the post holder may have the opportunity to travel further afield with overnight stays and for this reason it would be an advantage if the successful candidate was a car driver with their own vehicle.

A summary of this varied and responsible role appear below:-

Quarterly accounting and VAT (carried out on Xero, QuickBooks, Free Agent and Sage)

Prepare statutory year end accounting

Corporation tax returns and computations (using Iris Practice Software)

Personal tax work (using CCH Tax)

Applications for this exciting role are particularly welcomed from candidates with the required experience who are proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook as well as Xero, QuickBooks & Sage (and ideally Free Agent, Iris and CCH). Most of the work is based at their pleasant conveniently situated offices in Kingston but as some of it will be client facing and at their premises the successful candidate will need to be smart, presentable, articulate and an excellent communicator.
