Job description:

Conduct thorough inspections of temporary accommodation units to ensure compliance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) standards.

Identify and assess potential hazards within accommodation units, ensuring health and safety risks are minimized or eliminated.

Develop and implement schedules of work to address identified issues, ensuring that properties are brought up to the required standards.

Liaise with contractors to plan and oversee maintenance and repair work, ensuring timely completion and compliance with agreed specifications.

Provide detailed reports on property conditions, highlighting any urgent health or safety concerns and recommending necessary actions.

Ensure all accommodation units meet statutory and local authority requirements, particularly regarding health, safety, and fire regulations.

Act as the point of contact for tenants, addressing concerns regarding property safety and coordinating necessary repairs or improvements.

Work closely with housing officers and other stakeholders to ensure that accommodation is safe, habitable, and suitable for occupancy.

Monitor contractor performance to ensure quality of work and adherence to agreed schedules, escalating any issues as necessary.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, schedules of work, and contractor performance, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

Will require access to transport, properties are located in Kingston and surrounding boroughs.
