We are looking for a dynamic and innovative engineering professional who can Provide active support to manage the day-to-day maintenance service operation in the conservation, presentation, protection, and safety of our historical buildings to help us take our charity and the stories of our palaces and people to both UK-wide and international inclusive audiences, pursuing an exciting new strategy to become a charity for everyone. You will proactively respond to and manage the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) response provided by either site teams or contractors to helpdesk or emergency defects, while remaining within the Maintenance and Facilities budget.
Moreover, you will deliver an exceptional visitor experience and a functional environment for our staff to work in. Additionally, you will work across several long-term projects with a range of key stakeholders and partners. You will also work closely and collaboratively with the Maintenance & Facilities Manager and across teams, providing input and advice to all HRP Departments, Stakeholders and Major/Interpretation Projects and will also deputise for the Maintenance and Facilities Manager when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have proven M&E management experience in both reactive and routine maintenance and the delivery of high-quality prompt responses. Strong organisation and strategic planning skills, as well as the ability to thrive working in a busy, fast-paced environment are also required. Experience of managing stakeholder relationships and expectations is desirable.
