Job Description:

The role of Commercial Lead for Digital & IT is a permanent position which focuses on shaping and delivering the Digital & IT Strategy for Procurement, Contract, Negotiations, and Supplier management, ensuring adherence to commissioning governance. The role requires a procurement and contract subject matter expert across the IT category.

The position involves driving the delivery of the Digital & IT Service plan/strategy, market management, and working with stakeholders. It aims to achieve value for money (VFM) in commissioning spend and contract performance for Kingston and Suttons' shared IT service.

Key activities include leadership, commissioning and performance management, customer and partner relations, digital/new ways of working, and delivery of IT strategy.

The ideal candidate should have commercial expertise, contract and performance management skills, an understanding of public sector procurement legislation, extensive IT market knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills.A minimum of CIPS level 3 or having at least 5 years of experience in purchasing IT solutions is also an important attribute.
