Ackerman Pierce, a leading social care agency, is seeking a dynamic Service Manager to lead a Adolescent Social Care Team in the South West London area. This is a temporary role with an initial duration of 3-6 months, and the potential for extension based on your performance and internal circumstances.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience of providing strategic management of highly effective statutory adolescent services
  • Experience in leading and managing a successful team, including recruitment, performance, development and resolving conflict.
  • Strong ability to carry out quality assurance practices collaboratively with managers and workers
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Ofsted and JTAI inspection frameworks and experience of preparing services for inspection and ongoing improvement
  • Significant experience and understanding of challenges within delivery of services that support young people with high risk behaviour and vulnerable complex needs, with a track record of leading creative and innovative approaches to interventions
  • Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions
  • Proven ability to effectively monitor, use, report and present on data intelligence to inform, advise and improve activities across the service or organisation
  • Proven track record in improving service activities that deliver excellent outcomes
  • Experience of addressing specific equality or diversity issues within your practice with colleagues/customers and taking action to solve them

Preferred Experience:

  • Service Management: Previous experience in a similar role within the UK Social Care industry.
  • Team Environment: Thrive in a well-structured, organized team environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a comparable UK role.
  • Clearance: Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can assist with obtaining this).
  • Eligibility: Right to work in the UK.
  • Qualifications: DipSW/CQSW or equivalent, plus SWE qualification.
