Building Services Engineer

Location: Kingston-upon-Thames

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum DOE.

Full time permanent role Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm hrs. per week with overtime opportunities available.

On call, 1 week in every 6-8 weeks £300, extra for call outs.

Holiday: 28 Days Plus Bank Holidays

Pension / Life Assurance: Company pensions up to 6%

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer on behalf of our client, to join the team to carry out PPMs and Reactive works to the site. The Engineer must record all works on a PDA, Planon is the CAFM system that they operate.

Responsibilities:

  • Dealing with plumbing issues, keeping the facilities operational, completing PPM's
  • AHU Maintenance, AC trouble shooting.
  • Utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair systems.
  • Understanding logic controllers and interpreting building drawings
  • Supervising maintenance tasks and contractors
  • Resolving technical issues which arise
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to Students and Staff

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. You will posses the following:

  • 5 years experience in MAINTENANCE (commercial environment preferred)
  • A good team player
  • Proficient in English for effective communication
  • Possess mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with logic controllers and interpreting building O&M's
  • Used to working on own and unsupervised
  • Work on your own, carry out maintenance activities, completing PPM’s -
  • Used to working on own and unsupervised)
  • Hold a Driving Licence (Use of the call out vehicle)
  • Ideally be available to start Immediately
  • Please note that a DBS check will be required for this role
