Building Engineer

Location: Kingston-upon-Thames

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 per annum DOE.

Contract: Full time, PermanentHours:Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm with overtime opportunities available. On call, 1 week in every 6-8 weeks £300, extra for call outs.

Our client is seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team the team, to carry out PPMs to the site, utilising the PDA (Project Develoopment Agreement) and Planon software system and help keep the establishment operational and to provide comprehensive repair and maintenance service for systems, and equipment on Campus sites for Kingston education establishment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plumbing issues, keeping the facilities operational, completing PPM's
  • Utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair systems
  • Understanding logic controllers and interpreting building drawings
  • Supervising maintenance tasks and contractors
  • Resolving technical issues which arise
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to Kingston University Students and Staff

Person Specification:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our building systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
  • Maintenance: 5 years (preferred)
  • Team player
  • Proficient in English for effective communication
  • Possess mechanical knowledge
  • Experience with logic controllers and interpreting building O&M's
  • Work on your own, carry out maintenance activities, completing PPM’s.
  • Driving Licence is essential

A DBS check will be required for this role
