Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer with experience in Drainage & Highways, to join their team.
About the role:
To deliver drainage & highway designs on all the projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work within a team & give specialist knowledge and drainage/highways designs as well as other projects
- Represent the company at various clients
- To deliver technical expertise to colleagues and clients
- Identify project risks and opportunities
- Co-ordinate tenders
- Be able to input into civil engineering tendering processes by:
- Reviewing client ITTs
- Develop civil design strategies
Requirements:
Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or Chartered or working towards
- CAD package experience as well as Flow or Micro Drainage
- Minimum of 5 years working on projects where drainage/highways was a key/integral component of the design
- Flood risk assessment awareness
- Must have knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff
- Must have knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes
- A civil design environment preferably within a consultancy environment
- Complete site visits and surveys
- Infrastructure project exposure ideally in rail or power stations
