Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer with experience in Drainage & Highways, to join their team.

About the role:

To deliver drainage & highway designs on all the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a team & give specialist knowledge and drainage/highways designs as well as other projects
  • Represent the company at various clients
  • To deliver technical expertise to colleagues and clients
  • Identify project risks and opportunities
  • Co-ordinate tenders
  • Be able to input into civil engineering tendering processes by:
  • Reviewing client ITTs
  • Develop civil design strategies

Requirements:

Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or Chartered or working towards

  • CAD package experience as well as Flow or Micro Drainage
  • Minimum of 5 years working on projects where drainage/highways was a key/integral component of the design
  • Flood risk assessment awareness
  • Must have knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff
  • Must have knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes
  • A civil design environment preferably within a consultancy environment
  • Complete site visits and surveys
  • Infrastructure project exposure ideally in rail or power stations
