Commercial Lead - Digital & IT (Permanent Role)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to shape and deliver strategy across Procurement, Contracts, Negotiations, and Supplier Management within a Digital & IT environment. This is a permanent opportunity ideal for a commercial and procurement expert with strong knowledge of the IT category.

The role is central to driving the delivery of the Digital & IT service plan, overseeing market engagement, and working with internal stakeholders to secure value for money and high-performing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of Digital & IT commercial strategies.

  • Oversee commissioning and performance management.

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.

  • Encourage innovation and digital ways of working.

  • Support the execution of the overarching IT strategy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Expertise in procurement, contract negotiation and performance management within the IT sector.

  • In-depth understanding of procurement legislation and governance processes (public sector experience advantageous).

  • Strong knowledge of the IT supplier market and commercial trends.

  • Proven leadership and excellent communication skills.

  • Either CIPS Level 3 qualified or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procuring IT solutions.
