About the Role:
This is a rewarding full-time position (Scale point 29-33) where you'll be providing direct interventions to young people impacted by problematic substance misuse. You'll work closely with them to reduce harm, develop multi-agency care plans, and achieve positive outcomes. Your role will also involve delivering training to professionals, housing providers, and parents.

They offer a range of universal, targeted, and statutory services, including youth services, children's centres, early help, family and youth resilience, and targeted youth support. The Health and Well-being Hub site utilises a strong evidence-based practice model and is driven by local needs.
About You: Our Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications: You'll hold a Level 4 or above professional qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Youth Work, Children and Youth, Social Care, Education, or Substance Misuse. Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.
Experience:
Proven experience positively engaging and building trusting relationships with young people who have faced challenges like childhood adversity and problematic behaviours (offending, gangs, going missing, drug misuse).
Experience working directly with young people who have misused substances.
Experience working directly with young people who have been subject to the Leaving Care and/or Looked After processes.
Strong experience in multi-agency working, care planning, and partnership working.
Skills:
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people with substance misuse issues.
