Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing ingredients, equipment, and workstations for practical food lessons
  • Assisting teachers and students during practical cooking sessions
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
  • Managing stock levels, ordering ingredients, and maintaining equipment
  • Supporting students with their practical assessments and food technology projects
  • Ensuring safe storage and handling of food materials and equipment
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Food Technician or experience in a food preparation/catering environment
  • Strong understanding of food hygiene and health and safety regulations
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • A passion for food, cooking, and working with young people
