As an Assistant Store Manager you'll be a role model and a brand ambassador, inspiring your team to meet and exceed targets. You'll play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding customer journey and fostering a positive, results-driven store culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Retail Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team to provide excellent customer service through effective product knowledge and strong communication skills.
- Drive sales performance and work with the team to achieve and exceed KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date with products, promotions, and marketing activities, and pass on this knowledge to your team.
- Handle customer concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
- Oversee stock control processes, including delivery management and loss prevention.
- Assist in staff development through mentoring, training, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Ensure operational compliance with company Health & Safety, administrative, and security procedures.
- Manage the store in the absence of the Retail Store Manager, ensuring smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organised store environment, including the back office and stock room.
- Contribute fresh ideas and insights to management meetings, helping to shape the store's success.
- At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role within a premium retail environment (Assistant Store Manager, Supervisor, or Senior Sales).
- Proven track record in team development, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong commercial awareness with the drive to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a natural ability to lead by example.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude, with the ability to solve problems and preempt challenges.
