Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

About the Role:

Our client in Kingston Upon Thames is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and supportive educational setting. As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring all children reach their full potential. You will work closely with students to provide individual and group support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of the Year 5 curriculum.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, break times, and lunch periods.
  • Help maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Observe and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of the students.
  • Be confident in supporting and delivering academic framework to children in year 5.

Requirements:
